"That's going to take time. We don't have that time in the federal election of the president. Because we've got January 20th his inauguration we've got December 14th As the electoral college. The Supreme Court throws it in the Congress will have to vote. In Congress before the inauguration. Down these time in Or the 20. The 2000 recount in Florida, the Supreme Court of Bush v. Gore. Stop the recount because Florida had no plan to finish the recount in time. For the electors meeting Electric column which that year 2000 was in December, 12. So that's why the recount was stopped. And we've got the same problem begin. And so the Supreme Court's going to say the election is so messed up. Take years to settle it. We know we can't determine a winner. And this is gonna work because these kinds of cases This law comes out of were actually crafted by John Roberts. And you had our justice Thomas. L. Eo Toh and Gorsuch joining with Roberts in the majority of these cases, which are Have Jim Crow cases off apogee. Perez medication Shelby people could go look them up. Anybody who knows constitutional all will know where I'm going. What I'm talking about. But the point is that If those four are together, saying We're gonna throw the election into Congress, I believe Barrett will join them. She knew she was, you know, it's hard is the new judge to make a decision which could determine the presidential election. I think Kavanaugh will join them. We'll have six votes. And this is not choosing a president. It's just affirming the mechanism The Constitution provides, which is like Congress choose And while the GOP controlled how the Senate and House will vote because of the majorities of the one Stayed in the house gets only one vote for the president. Uh, the string course. Still not saying we want Trump. They're just saying this election is so messed up. We know this fraud. We can't fix it. So therefore the constitutional remedies like the Congress decide and that's how our elections were chosen. In the early part of the Republic. Congress decided many of them. GSA designates Joe Biden "apparent winner," enabling official transition
"And so more than two weeks after the major networks declared Joe Biden, the winner of the presidential election, Emily Murphy finally did what she should have done back on November 7th when Biden's victory became apparent. Now. Emily Murphy is a heretofore unknown federal government employee who is the head of the General Services Administration. It is her job to sign off on Biden's win, which allows the presidential transition to officially begin. It permits current Trump Administration agency officials to coordinate with the incoming Biden team and provides millions of dollars in government funding for the transition. If you've listened to the Ron Owens report in recent weeks, you know I was not in Emily Murphy side when it came there doing her one big job. It doesn't seem that difficult aspect. She said she needed only to ascertain that Biden is the apparent winner of the election. And yet somehow she delayed it up until yesterday, forcing hundreds of people joining the new Biden administration to work without government paid assistance. Hmm. That sounds very trump here. I mean, seriously. Despite Biden's clear victory, she stalled in her letter, finally initiating the formal transition process. Murphy said she had not been pressured by the White House to delay the transition and did not make a decision out of fear or favoritism. She wrote, And I quote, please. No, I came to my decision independently based on the law and available fax. Yeah, of course she did. She's neutrals sort of. I mean, she was appointed by President Trump and unsuccessfully tried to be on his transition team in 2016. And every day she delayed making the obvious choice made it more difficult for Joe Biden to put his people in place and work towards a smooth transition to the new administration. In effect, she allowed the delay to possibly be used by enemies of the United States like Russia, who thrive on making countries chaotic. Bottom line. I don't believe her, but at least now her 15 minutes are up. As for Trump Well, he tweeted now that he's not conceding and plans to move full speed ahead with his various legal cases challenging what he calls the most corrupt election in American political history. So we continue to witness the torture. It's vindictive, classless strategy of the president, making his successor's job more difficult from day one. It's almost criminal. Will Rogers sure never met Donald Trump. I admit I'm still enjoying the pain look of Trump. It makes you wonder. Could he actually believe that he won, Huh? Come on, man. No, but the way he's not carrying himself might make future government officials and everyday bosses think twice before surrounding themselves with sick of fence. Is there any doubt that in speaking with foreign leaders who called him out of obligation, he did all he could to poison the water for Biden, his scorched earth way of handling defeat. Go down in history as the classic example of hubris and Pettiness. I'll be watching with great interest how true Republican senators in Congress members deal with him. Now they no longer will have the power to directly make their lives miserable. A few weeks ago, I was pretty convinced that Trump would keep the GOP in this corner for the next four years by offering daily critiques of anything Biden does. I hope the media would wake up and see how they've been consistently manipulated by Trump and punish him by not reporting every word he speaks. Now, though, you know last week or so I'm watching some of the Republican senators who repeated his Bs open up a bit. And veteran Watergate reporter called. Bernstein has now released a list of 21 Republican senators who in private, have repeatedly expressed extreme contempt for Trump and his fitness for office. Maybe by 2024. His own party might reject his bed for a rematch. Meanwhile, is the first round of Biden administration nominations a release. It's clear that by this choosing people who are indisputably X Spurs in their fields over bigger names and democratic politics. There'll be very little on the job training needed for senior members of Biden's White House, as CNN reported. The simple act of hiring people qualify for their jobs is in itself a rejection of the Trump model, which installed donors, right wing ideologues and inexperienced allies into positions of power in some instances, The express purpose of undermining the institutions they were meant to lead, so we'll find ourselves with a very competent yet a times boring new president and a faceless cabinet. After all we've been through these last four years. Doesn't that sound

Michigan certifies vote count despite Trump campaign's objections
"Been voted for over fifty years. And i've never before to think about whether canvassers will certify election. I would like to convey my thanks to all the election. We've seen nothing That should cause us to doubt that now The president wants to summon top GOP lawmakers from Pennsylvania to the White House and hopes they'll overturn the election results. Pennsylvania's lieutenant governor, John Fetterman says that's not gonna happen unless there's some enchanted little village. Of 90,000 Trump voters that we may have missed over the last two weeks since the election. You know, this is ballgame in Pennsylvania and again, it's ball game and we have a president elected Joe Biden.

"Facing an election laws. Donald trump turns to raw political power to try to bend. The outcome by brian bennett. This article is part of the debrief times politics newsletter during his failed campaign to win another four years in office president. Donald trump repeatedly used the power of his office to boost his chances in employing. The white house has a campaign backdrop. Having his secretary of state give a campaign speech during an official diplomatic trip and spreading baseless claims about voting fraud. From behind the presidential seal. Now he's using his office to try to reverse his loss. Trump invited a delegation of michigan republican lawmakers to meet with him at the white house on friday as that state is on the verge of formerly certifying. That president-elect joe biden won more votes judges have tossed out. Trump's claims of widespread voter fraud in michigan and other states so now trump appears to be trying to use raw political power and influence in a hail mary attempt to convince sitting state lawmakers to disenfranchise millions of michigan voters. The white house meeting follows tuesday night. Phone call trump reportedly made to a republican member of the board of canvassers in michigan's wayne county which includes detroit after. The board voted to certify. The vote tally hanging over. Friday's meetings is more than the power of the office. Trump is also building a new fundraising juggernaut. As he fights the election results trump's massive campaign fundraising list is sending appeals to donors nominally to help his legal defense but a large portion of the funds is going to a new political action committee called save america that trump can use to steer donations to the campaigns of politicians. He favors after repeated failures to show widespread election fraud in court. Trump's legal team has acknowledged that its current strategy is to delay certification of votes in key states in order to open the door for gop held state legislatures to intervene and send a raft of pro-trump delegates to the electoral college on december fourteen rather than delegates who represent how people voted. That strategy is exceptionally unlikely to work and would mean reversing. The intention of millions of voters people close to trump believe. He's putting up a robust fight as a way to energize his supporters. So they'll come with him as television viewers after he leaves office and bolster his political sway as a kingmaker in the republican party. But he's already doing a lot of damage to the democratic process. Along the way and seeding unfounded distrust in the election results among core parts of his base that could persist for years. Trump added to that damage on tuesday when he fired his top cybersecurity official responsible for securing the election. Chris crabs who had said his team of federal government. Experts had not seen any signs of electronic votes being changed when president. Teddy roosevelt called the presidency. A bully pulpit. He meant it was a powerful perch to advocate for policy agenda but trump has taken the muscular use of office in a different direction using it to literally bully fellow republicans into backing his personal political ambitions and go along with his false claims that the election was stolen from him. A broad and unproven conspiracy. That has been widely debunked and repeatedly rejected in court. He simply trying to steal it through. The levers of power says heather cox. Richardson a historian at boston college. This is unprecedented and not since eighteen. Seventy six has a candidate so flagrantly used political power to try to change the outcome of a vote after election day that was during reconstruction when republicans grabbed the presidency for ohio governor. Rutherford hayes with brute political force by pressing congress to steer the result in hayes his favor. But there's still one key difference between now and then in eighteen seventy six the vote margins were legitimately unclear whereas in twenty twenty biden has clear winning margins in the states. Trump is disputing since then states have voted in reforms to the electoral college system designed to prevent a politician from exerting personal influence over the democratic process as the country watch is trump is testing those reforms to ensure the will of the voters is honored.
Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp certifies election results
"Officials have certified the election for president elect Joe Biden by a little more than 12,000 votes. Governor Brian Kemp says the Trump campaign can now ask for recounts. State law now requires the governor's office to formalize the certification. Which paves the way for the Trump campaign to pursue other legal options in a separate recount, if they choose. Trump also met with several Michigan State legislators is part of his effort to overturn the 154,000 vote edge. President elect Biden has in Michigan. He's pushing GOP leaders there to name electricity favor him. Those lawmakers in a statement after the meeting Agree. Allegations of fraud should be investigated, but there is nothing showing widespread fraud in the state. The state's canvassing board meets on Monday to certify the election. This is AP News

"This morning, we talked about key congressional races to watch on election day. One aspect that both parties have been paying attention to is diversity Democrats and Republicans are working to increase diversity in their ranks, but it's been a tougher challenge for the GOP joining me now to talk more about their efforts is wall. Street. Journal. Congressional reporter Natalie Andrews Hi. Natalie. Thanks for being here. Thank you. So. Not only what can you tell us about the Republican Party's efforts to diversify its ranks in twenty eight? After the Midterm Elections Republicans in the house were criticized for a low amount of women and people of Color in the house. The numbers dropped because some people ascended to higher office and because there were retirements but it stood in stark contrast to the Democrats who had increased diversity, a number of women in their ranks and so house minority leader Kevin. McCarthy made this a priority to make sure he was supporting women and people of Color in races, and this was also something he was that was done after other lawmakers in the conference pushed him to do. So what have been some of the challenges for the GOP in becoming more diverse? The platform of the Republican Party has not always reached out specifically to black people and Democrats have historically represented majority minority districts and have focused on issues that impact minorities we have the congressional black caucus is entirely democratic right now, and they have an agenda that they say appeals to black people in America And we've seen that at times the president has made comments that do not win over black voters. He has made comments that members of his own party have called racially charged or even racist, which has been a problem with Republicans as they try to increase their ranks. So. What can you tell us about this year's GOP candidates for the house. In the house, the Republicans are set to lose. Their soul black. Republican lawmaker and that is will heard and so after Mr heard announced his retirement, a lot of is went to. Own, my goodness, they're losing their one black man in their caucus in. So we sent out to look at how they're recruiting efforts had gone to diversify, and they are set to have at least one black man come to Congress next year that would be Byron donalds in he is running in a safe Republican district in. Florida it's in the Naples area. He's been a state lawmaker for the past four years and has been involved in local tea party groups and various Republican groups for. About a decade. So that is really the one lawmaker who looks like he's coming to the house next year, and then there's a few competitive races such as in Utah, Burgess Owens is challenging Ben McAdams and in Texas in the Houston suburbs Wesley Hunt is running against congressman lizzy Fletcher in Texas. How does that compare to what we're seeing among? Democrats, in the House, this election Democrats are set to increase their diversity. We've seen a few people of Color winning primaries or win in safe districts. So. We do expect their numbers to grow but this is something that Democrats have placed a priority on and they do tend to speak to minority groups specifically, whereas Republicans often talk about how they don't want to be focused on so-called identity politics and reach out to groups specifically instead they want their policies such as economic policies to. Ring true to voters and have them vote and that's one thing that when I talked to Byron donalds he spoke about that. He doesn't want to be the mold of what a black person is in politics. He's a conservative he talks about criminal justice reform. He introduced himself to voters by calling himself a strong trump supporting gun owning liberty loving pro-life, politically incorrect black man and those are the Republicans that we're seeing running for Congress this year. How about compared to what we're seeing in the? Senate in the Senate, there is one block Republican Tim Scott and two block Democrats Comma Harris and Cory Booker. There are a few black candidates who are Republican, who are challenging Democrats and the one that we're watching very closely is John James and Michigan that become competitive if it swings his way, he'll join tim. Scott. In the Republican Conference Natalie, you mentioned the midterms in two thousand eighteen which resulted in a record number of women being elected to Congress overall. How is Congress doing in terms of diversifying representation? When you look at the numbers, Congress is still white in as a majority. There are fifty three blockhouse lawmakers including the delegates fifty, two of those are Democrats. So those numbers are slowly increasing and when you incorporate women, LGBT members, people of Color Democrats will say that half of their caucus belongs to one of those diverse groups. But that still means that trunk of the caucus is white men, which is obviously what's been members of Congress predominantly since the beginning of the country and on the Republican side, Kevin McCarthy worked. To increase diversity this year, they had a record number of candidates run for office who were black. It's just a lot of those candidates ran in districts that are safely democratic, and so there weren't as many that ran in districts that were winnable for Republicans and we do have these swings seats that we're watching, but overall the sixty four. So candidates that Republicans had enter the race a lot of those were in safe Democratic Seats Wall Street Journal Congressional reporter Natalie Andras Natalie. Thanks so much for being here..

"We keep talking about it's on it's off it's on what's happening well, extreme mixed messages from the White House helped any of this we'll republicans want to do. We have a hard time with Nancy Pelosi she thinks she can influence the election. And I think they're hurting themselves by not doing it but the Republicans want to do it we WANNA do. Stimulus we want to help the airlines again because. Remember the president said everything's off I'm cancelling. All of the all of the negotiations until after the election if I'm elected, I'll get all kinds of stuff done. But then he changed his tune saying he wanted both sides to go big the back realizing perhaps the era of is ways ahead of an election. So there know they've tried to put these back on into the treasury secretary has offered a one point eight close to one point nine, trillion dollar by A. Compromise deal that he put on the table over the weekend with the speaker of the House. You want to go to the White House. What's the best way to work this out now? The White House it's one of the most dangerous places. In, the country she turned that down saying, Hey, look, there's no national plan for testing not enough money for testing tracing treatment. There is no standalone bill without a bigger bill, and so they're still at the negotiating table but I would tell you Brad. There are a lot of people that are saying including Mitch McConnell in the Senate. It doesn't look like this is a deal that's going to happen before McConnell. McConnell, it's like it's becoming clear. You can rush things through the Senate right now it's just not this. Legislation is harder he wants more of his Republicans signed on and they're not willing to go as high as two trillion dollars. The White House is signaling. They might go that high as two trillion, but you're going to lose almost all Senate Republicans. It's hard to see what the path forward would be toward a deal at this point. And if you want an example of just how important this is, you can look at Lindsey Graham, he was supposed to a debate with his Senate challenger. This weekend will refuse to get a covid tasks. He said he didn't need one but a lot of people suspected it's because he didn't want to get one because God forbid he tests positive he wouldn't be able to. Preside over these hearings his debate basically it's canceled. He's getting demolished in fundraising all of a sudden. It just shows you that the confirmation of Amy. CONYBEARE. It takes precedence among all else right now in the GOP Senate that even if it costs you your Senate race, that is clearly where the priority lies fascinating stuff we'll wait for today Trish in Washington. Thank you..

Convention kicked off yesterday with an official role call that nominated Donald Trump and mike pence for re election as the GOP ticket Alina train was watching everything yesterday and last night and is here now with her big takeaways Elena Sue one question I had was how much was the corona virus in the pandemic going to be mentioned we actually that was a big topic last night it was I think that heading into new that they wanted to spend a. Lot of time on programming around the coronavirus specifically because they know this is going to be a key priority for voters in the election in November but I would say that the messaging we saw around covid was really an alternate narrative of how the pandemic has played out essentially, they argued that the president acted fast and everyone else got it. Wrong. So I think that the messaging around the corona virus and what we saw last night, it was a bit of revisionist history. That brings me to the second point, which is there was a lot of fact checking that journalists were doing about the statements that were being made yesterday. Yes. We saw a lot more fact checking last night from the networks than we did last week during the Democratic National Convention, which definitely sparked a lot of criticism from people on the right on twitter and elsewhere last night. But we saw MSNBC and CNN cut away from live covered several times at one point motto who was headlining for MSNBC. said that they were going to try to keep it to a minimum, but they felt they had their duty to fact check in real time and that led to skipping a lot of speeches, missing parts of speeches, Jonathan Swan said that we would look for made for TV moments that hearken back to President Trump's reality TV background and we saw that last night with a panel, the president convened with a group of hostages that had been free during his administration. Yes and so the president and his. Campaign know that one of the best advantages they have this week and leading into the election is that he's been in office and some of the successes fees had while president and we saw them play that up tonight, the hostages six former hostages, kind of in a semi circle surrounded president trump and a taped interview from the White House, and it really spoke to trying to paint more of the president as someone who's freed these people and will continue to work hard to do the same in. His Administration I. Think it also kind of played on the empathy of the president he tried to connect with these former hostages on special level will the great people of Utah really wanted me to do something about the two of you and we were able to do it and a little bit of a miracle I. Think Frankly, it was a very hustle period definitely leverage that aspect of the office of the presidency tonight last night ended with Republican Senator Tim Scott, the only black Republican in the Senate. Mounting a pretty powerful critique of Joe. Biden. Yes. It was a tough assessment of Joe Biden's record on race Joe. Biden said if a black man didn't vote for him, he wasn't truly black Joe. Biden. Said black people are in Monolithic community. It was Joe Biden who said poor kids can be just as smart. As white kids either all things that Joe Biden has said and something that Tim Scott. As the only black Republican. In the Senate is poised to say and he he made it very personal as well as which I think brought this speech.

"On W. GOP. It is only July. All kinds of things could happen between now and election Day. Still, it's probably safe to say there are at least three factors voters are weighing as they decide between President Trump and Joe Biden. The first, of course, is he's handling of the pandemic. The president's handling of covert 19 even as cases rise in many parts of the country, the second, maybe racial justice and a demand for major change in how people of color are treated in the U. S. And the third is this big story about Russian bounties being paid to Taliban fighters to kill America? Kans in Afghanistan. President Trump tells Fox business He doesn't believe the intelligence I think it's a hoax. I think it's a hoax by the newspapers and the Democrats. President was asked. What if it is true if it did happen? The Russians would hear about it, and anybody else would hear about it that was involved. Joining us live. John Harris, founding editor of Politico and John. Up Until now, we've heard from the president's handlers on this, including the National Security advisor. Now, Mr Trump is speaking out. What do you make of his reaction? Well, he's going to a familiar playbook, which is the same that serious allegations are hopes and hope That's enough to rally his side that they behind him. Ah, he's used that an impeachment use that basically with every important controversy that's come before He's never had one arrived with this terrible timing. As you point out on all three of those issues. He's really on the defensive. Let's hear what the president told Fox business about the pandemic. I think that at some point that's going to sort of just disappear. I hope You still believe so disappear? Do Ideo? Yeah, sure, Some point. And I think we're gonna have a vaccine very soon, too so taking in account that that sound bite. Which of the three items do you think we'll have the most impact on the president's reelection isn't the pandemic and our major concerns about health and economy? I think it is because those clearly on turn trajectories are going to last all the way through the balance of the year. Whatever else comes into the news cycle, we know that the shutdown And the economic effects of that shut down Ah, and the continuation of the disease. We know almost to a certainty that those were goingto remained very much in the forefront. Of the news and they're correctly there might a frame this whole election year. Joe Biden's campaign has been described by some as less is Mohr. How do you think he's doing with the carefully chosen appearances and remarks? Well, I would agree with that lessons Mohr because ah, really, what he's doing with that strategy is keeping this weighs about President Trump and his record on and basically all the polling, including a politico morning console pull just today shows six out of 10 voters disapprove. Of President Trump's performance. 75% of the country thinks we're on the wrong track. So as long as Biden can make this keep the discussion about President Trump. Ah ah, he's in good shape. Of course, President Trump is trying Tio frame this as Ah. More of a choice between he and bind rather than a referendum on his own record. It is Friday today the twentieth twentieth of December. Good as always have along. Everybody so look. Here is my working hypothesis. This is pretty much the last day before a month or so of people being away for a couple of weeks and then coming back to a couple of weeks worth of political story that is with reason going to suck all the air out of the room. So Oh let's do this. An economic level set of sorts before the news gets subsumed Catherine repels Washington Po. She is all alone today in our New York Bureau. You're a Catholic. Just the two of us all right so look. Let's do. Let's do this first of all. I want to talk trade now that we have a deal on the US MCA and and we are told a deal with China that we haven't seen yet but we're told it to deal Can we say we have a trade peace. In our time I would say tensions have eased certainly and whatever anxiety there might have been in in markets amongst retailers dealers and manufacturers and others that things would escalate that has abated. But even so what we know about the China trade deal is not that we we are rolling back all of the tariffs so that we would have the same kind of landscape we had before trump took office we were only rolling back some of the tariffs for whatever the steel well is phase. One deal that. Is that materializes so whether you would call this a piece or a detente. I don't know it's kind of like two steps backward one step forward word but but certainly You know there's some relief out there that things didn't get worse okay Let's do a another little. Look becky thing and that is this a year ago. Talk of recession was very high. Stock Market was jittery. People were nervous. What a difference a day makes an off a year makes rather in all fairness rush? Yeah it looks like a lot of the concerns about the future of the economy and the imminent possibly imminent downturn were overblown The yield curve has uninvited and the recovery has continued. Its now more than a decade long which makes it the longest recovery on record and look unemployment is still falling or is or is it least not rising so all of that is good whether or not You know we can expect us. Indefinitely definitely is a is a separate question business cycles or called cycles for a reason but at least in the near term it does look like concerns were overblown. Okay About the future. Then and what we were promised as you point out in a column in the Post today And you know the calendar says this is the two year anniversary of This week I guess. Sunday is the anniversary of the GOP's tax cuts and it's not a restricting the case to say that that what was was promised by the President and Republicans in Congress was not delivered. Yeah on a number of metrics in fact this toddler this two year old all tax cut is sort of behind on its developmental milestones right. We were told that the tax cuts would pay for themselves. In fact that has not been the case defecates deficits have continued to expand both because of greater spending and because tax revenues are not rising as much as you would expect during a reception year recovery because the tax cuts We we also have not seen supercharged. GDP growth trump as. You may recall. Said we should expect something like six percent growth instead. We're getting about two percent which is about what we had had before trump took office investment actually fell the last couple of quarters. I wouldn't necessarily blame that on the tax cuts but it does suggest that they were not They they did not give it a sufficient to overcome whatever trade war Concerns there had been and wage gains have also been kind of disappointing. We did not see the promised. Major wage gains that the tax cuts were supposed to deliver year over year and inflation inflation adjusted terms. They're about at the same today as they were before. Trump took office so on a lot of key metrics The tax cuts are not quite delivering. Now and I'm sure the proponents will say give it more time Right give more time but so far the metrics. Don't don't look so great okay. Ah I WANNA go sideways into the politics of this past week for just a second And I wanted. Let's completely set aside the stock market. About which the president was jubilant again today more record highs but I I want to ask you why things like consumer confidence and retail spending and all those sort of gut level metrics of this. Connie don't seem to be being affected by the the Hullaballoo in Washington. Well it's not not clear that they were during previous Hullaballoo either right The economy was pre determined. The the economy remained pretty. We strong during Clinton's impeachment and in fact. GDP growth was better. It didn't seem like impeachment affected the economy or I don't think markets substantially substantially one way or the other they seem relatively divorced from what another which may be is just a reflection of the fact that presidents don't control the economy they don't control stock markets? They get a Lotta they get too much credit too much blame when things are good or bad respectively And we like to think that policymakers I are are pulling all the levers but really they can only kind of affecting us on the margins even when we're talking about something major as potentially removing president Finally in super-quick. What do you think of my premise? That we're going to take two weeks and everybody's GonNa go away and then we're GONNA have two more weeks of impeachment and then finally Mila January people are GonNa tuned back in again. I hope you're right that we have two weeks where everyone gets to go away. That's where I think your your Prediction may be most suspect. Be some middle of the night tweets. Well Yeah Probably Catherine Bell Washington Post. Thank you Catherine. Thanks have a nice weekend on Wall Street late on a Friday and December or on a Friday in late December. More properly another day. Another record details when we do. The numbers.

"So it's there's a thing. It's going to. Would will do it's going these these these these legislatures who are overwhelmingly white and male seeing them take away power to incoming female politicians is going to backfire. And there was a New York time opinion piece by someone. I don't remember who it was. But it was essentially that we should just let them do it and not even fight it because it's going to backfire so God damn hard on them. I don't necessarily agree with that. But I I like the scorched earth sentiment behind it. It is it does seem like one of those things like this is what's so like shortsighted about it is it seems something that only will have consequences. Like, I just don't know whom he will not be good. No, not especially when you see it as a pattern of other states doing it. Also makes me think you Bill. You don't have those bills that would happen. State-by-state gut reformed the trap laws all these all these things that would come up, and they're basically like madly laws. I wonder if this is not something that is being. Being propelled by some bigger entity. Do you to know because student two states are doing it? Someone told me recently that the declaration of independence and the Bill of rights are both in the vault in mount Rushmore. Do you think that's true? With the person. Budget say soon out the Smithsonian. No fake. I think maybe someone told me national treasure venture story. The other thing that's in there like the seeds for tomatoes, and carrots and stuff. No, the biography of the man who built the vault that's Kino's. This this bullshit. It's ridiculous looking at. Okay. I can't wait. Okay. So I'll give you this quote because a lot of GOP state GOP people are not ju p p national archives. I bought it hook line, and sinker. Yeah possible. Yeah. Okay. Sorry. So we're GOP both of the GOP are not speaking about these these power grab bills. But a one event Dave Robertson who's in. Michigan state Senator when he was asked for comment on the Shannon against he said, this has been discussed for of their for Michigan. Oh, don't you know has been discussed for quite some time. And frankly, I'm capable of inspiration at anytime, including now, so basically saying like this has been in the works. And also we could just come up with bullshit whenever we want because that's right. As people in power right now, also, Mr. Robertson who said all this shit about them doing all this shady garbage. He also wrote the camp campaign finance Bill that passed the Michigan state Senate Thursday and also has himself been sanction for campaign finance violations. So cool. I got two words for these fellas. Quack quack gavel-to-gavel than. That's the sound of words twice that you're repeating once each so four words, but the two, but you words, yeah. And you're not not really word more like an automatic Pia. Yeah. Quack quack gavel-to-gavel that is a sound of a lame duck session. Causing habit on the American democratic system will been okay, actually, the whole seaboard, go crack crack gavel-to-gavel. Ouch. Ouch. That's democracy. Very nice Aaron thank you insane..
