"Put buffalo in their tear in the AFC you're not at Kansas City's level on any at any point right now offensively, they there needs to score thirty points a week in the last two weeks their offense hasn't done it. And yet, the raiders put the chiefs in their place and Kansas City's previous game which just speak sue. The week-to-week nature of Power League. But yeah, the chiefs are fun to watch their offense especially just. So layered, let's get to the late game. There's I. Tyler Murray Shotgun. Student. Aid. Steve Levy with the call. Are the cardinals good or are the cowboys terrible. He balls. All right. The cardinals thirty eight. Cowboys ten Kyla Murray and his homecoming he grew up in north Texas three touchdowns including. Yes that rainbow. Ball. Beautiful strike to Christian Kirk eighty yards that effectively settled matters in the second quarter and mark the defense took it home from their befuddling Andy Dalton and Buddha Baker out front with the tremendous game sack pick force bubble to qb hits total effort by the cardinals and the. Cowboys at prone mess. I mean, this is another game I.

"Was too rainy to radio out there for him to rainy the head to run the ball he lost touch I can't even believe it on the rain. Josh. Look at what he looked like in the first four games, he was in the MVP conversation but then you know what they did. They played the Tennessee. Titans who went to the AFC championship and then they played the Kansas City chiefs where did they go? All right. They won the Super Bowl. We need to see Josh Allen do it against top level competition and we will get that chance because next week they play. The New, York jets. The death New York jets is GonNa be a great little tuneup before they actually do face top talent Jalen we have so much more to discuss including the world series.

Who Do you jump on right now right now you got this this season or the next next five seasons. Probably, buffalo straight you do. Who came and Thanksgiving and hit the cowboys in the mouth last year. Come on. A bad six day stretch for the bills. My four downs talks about the AFC east in its future and I. Kind of take my fourth-down heartache oh deep. I'm going. Okay. I love it. Going deep today mall is excited what you pull out well. Be careful using that phrase these days. Oh. Okay Thank you. Don't.

"Are many surprise. Why would the Miami Dolphins beyond a little bit of a roll here where they spanked the forty niners in northern California and then shut out the jets for the first time as if that wasn't difficult enough for me to watch. They shut out the jets for the first time since the eighty two AFC championship game the famed Aj Dewey. Three interception game of Richard Todd which. Should have sent me running. In the other direction as a young man. What the? Helped ourselves is right around the corner through. That's true. Now it's okay. But. Why would they? On this role, now turn to a rookie. Well then let me tell you why I think I don't have any particular direct insight. Okay I'm not there. All I know is I kind of trust Brian Flores. I. Think he knows what he's doing. I, think he's got his finger on the pulse of this team and I think. He comes from the ballot check as we know family. And that doesn't usually translate into it working out for you. On Your own but When?.

"So, just when you think, oh, they're just they're an elite high flying offense. Now, they can hit you in the mouth with backups hitting you in the mouth. That's what they can do especially after they just got hit in the mouth. By the Las Vegas Raiders. And now the bills have got hit in the mouth by the titans and the chiefs back to back in you gotta wonder how far the bills can go in the AFC now. GotTa Wander that. Especially since they had so many penalties Tennessee and make a rash of dumb. And I say this. With, the ultimate of disrespect. Jets like dumb ass. Personal foul penalties. Had that put those together? and. We got a very early playoff picture. I didn't know that I love the play. The rest of the guys home hoskins because we are sniffing it we're not. We're not. We don't do in the by the way peacock viewers new to the rich Eisen show we sniff. We don't do in the hunt I have no idea who whoever basically said to every single television partner of the NFL. You've gotta give us who's leading the division. You've gotta give us who's in the wild card and then you gotta tell us who's involvement no. Here we're asking who sniffing it. and. We all know what the it is. Greatness. Say. Playoff sniffing it. Bills are still leading their division, right? But. Can't.
Should 49ers be worried about Super Bowl hangover?
"Super bowl hangover thing it's talked about a fair bit and I'll have to bring it next time on. But I've tweeted about it before and and noted that the team loses the Super Bowl auction has huge trouble making the playoffs the next year Then that's the super bowl loser not the winner. So outside of the New England, Patriots who bounced back off that Philadelphia lost that we were both there for in Minneapolis and beat the rams the next year usually look at the rams last year out of the playoffs look. The Falcons the year after they blew the twenty eight three lead out of the Playoffs Carolina hasn't won a playoff game since they were super bowl loser. So you double back over time you see it a lot. I wasn't expecting the forty niners and I'm still not to miss the playoffs. But what what's being asked to them in the NFC west where I think the best three teams are that will finish one, two, three, NFC, the AFC may change my mind about that if either of the Ohio teams steps up in his really good they both lost yesterday. In different circumstances but I think this is the only division that can necessarily happened in some people like the NFC north I should point out because they liked the lions but we saw what transpired with him yesterday. So it's GonNa be a tough decision to win games in that, and that's one of the forty niners are really really gonNa want back and for Jimmy Garoppolo non no interceptions but there was just nothing exceptional about his play yesterday and we saw a lot more check down as well to to Mostert than than we wouldn't necessarily expected look you. Also take George Kit off the field, and that's a factor and a needs to get talked about and discussed that he had to play a good chunk of the game a game they end up losing by four points at home, and he had to play good chunk of the without George cadle do that to the cardinals take the Andrei also field for for a couple of possessions and Arizona struggled a lot more than
Iran Executes Wrestler Accused of Murder After He Took Part in 2018 Protests
"For his life to be spared. 27 year old Naveed of Curry had been convicted for the killing of a security guard during anti government protests in 2018. Mr Curry said he'd been tortured. Into making a confession. Among those who called for the Iranian of thought is to show mercy where President Trump on the International Olympic Committee, which says it's shocked. By the execution. Tara. Separate FA is the researcher on Iran for human rights. What she's been telling me more about Navid of Curry and his standing is arrested in Iran. Naveed Afghan, participated in several national competitions and had run up position and the adolescence and youth national championship in Iran. Few years back, and was he taking part in anti government protests in 2018? So there have been several rounds of protests over the past 2 2.5 years in Iran. The protest that Naveed was prosecuted for took place in summer of 2018 in several cities, including in Shiraz, where he lived. So how did he come to be accused of stabbing to death? His security guards and so, according to documents Reviewed on DH news articles have been published about the case on the evening off one of the days that the protest was ongoing. Mr Torre Common who initially was reported as a security officer, but later was introduced as just an employee off the water Waste management company was stabbed to death close to his home. Naveed and his brothers were arrested about a month later. Naveed in one of his brother was also been implicated. And in village murder, were arrested in September of 2018, according to hand written letter by Naveed and that has been published, He experienced severe torture into different detention centers where he was detained. In issue Ross. He was facing dozens of charges in ST separate cases, but the criminal court sentenced him to death in October of last year. 2019 the evidence used against him was mostly confessions. Of him, his brother and a friend, And they all alleged that those confessions were obtained under torture. And in April off this year, the Supreme Court uphold the death sentence and quickly brushed over the serious allegations of torture and failed to investigate that, so there were no independent witnesses who Tied, Mr AFC hurried to the scene of the stabbing a cz faras, you know, according to authorities and footage is that been released? There's footage from one security camera. It is unclear if if the person in the video is exactly Naveed, and if that proves anything, anything beyond reasonable doubt, why do you think that the Iranian authorities decided to make an example off him? If you like on DH to execute him, even though there was this into A national outcry. I think that the rush nature off this sentence because Iranian authorities disregarded the procedural rules that they need to abide by and when executing someone shows that it had a political motive behind it, And I would say it's probably an attempt to defy the international and domestic outcry against the death penalty. So was there a campaign inside Iran to have him sped? Since July of this year, there has been an ongoing campaign. Online, mostly with the hashtag don't execute against the death sentence that have been issued in relation to the protest that have happened over the past two years. And it is a growing a domestic movement, and many people also try to raise awareness and work in different capacities to save Naveed is life arranging from people who were working on convincing the Supreme Court for a retrial to the ones who were hoping for. Add Lepow's 15.6-inch USB-C monitor to your home office
"And I came up with this one. This is from a company called Lapel. Now Lapel it's a fifteen point six inch type C. Portable display. Oh Wow. So what it is is basically a high quality. Display like top but without it's just basically just an extension of a monitor, but it has the USB which means with USB device like a Amanda you've got the note common. Justin you have a pixel. Can Plug it into this and extend your smartphone onto the screen. But with HD, I can actually connect Miichi my from my laptop and connected to this and use it as an extended monitor. And half. At best buy right now, this is a case. So the AFC, which is a USB, it's not type see the AFC one which I looked at is ninety nine dollars. So if you need an extended monitor, you can do that with. It's not nineteen, twenty, ten eighty that one from the. League is a little less on the resolution for it. this one from the POW was. One, hundred, eight, hundred, Eighty, eight bucks. It comes with a real flimsy stand which is magnetic as you guys can see. I might invest in an actual stand for it, but I can just pull it up. Put it in my laptop bag at has power record. You could plug the power cord in has HDMI has. Again the C connector and I'm really looking forward to putting some use to this, and if I can do the drag drop easily off my laptop with it's sitting right there on could really heaven absolutely. The Browns are trying a new approach heading into the 2020 season: Being quiet
"Let's start here in Cleveland atom I heard Baker Mayfield say last week last year was total and complete chaos. They had so much noise around the organization. Now it's like a church mouse. It's totally quiet. WHAT'S THE MANTRA? What's going on there with this approach? Well the circus that was in Cleveland left and has gone to Tampa Bay in the interim. Basically, you've got a new general manager Andrew Berry new head coach, and Kevin Stefanski and the noise that accompanied this team last year has quite a quite a bit I think people are more interested in seeing Ben Rothlisberger return in Pittsburgh. The return of the NFL's raining MVP Lamar Jackson in Baltimore even the number one overall pick Joe borrowing, Cincinnati that browns are. The least sexy story in the AFC north this season and so they're flying under the radar, which is a good thing for this team. They don't need anymore engine. Let them win before we anoint the Cleveland Browns and contender and I think that they're very encouraged by what they've seen so far from their team this summer
Los Angeles Chargers safety Derwin James expected to miss 2020 season after knee injury, per reports
"The Los Angeles chargers. Yeah we mentioned. Like the the injuries like Nick, for instance it. Bradley. Chubb is such a mystery right now, there's more mysterious injury situations around the league than I think we know there's less reporting, but Derwin James is injury on Sunday. We know know the extent to it but I know that it's the most caught or I think it's the most costly time injury that there's been since camp started. Because I think he brings out the best in the coaching staff getting to be more creative. This is a bad defense with a lot of talent last year they weren't in the top twenty most efficient defenses. A lot of good players. Yeah. No they didn't have Derwin James, but that's pretty disappointed. He unlocks the cornerbacks you know he he unlocks his tactic partner ratio Jenkins who played really well. I just think he's such a unique special talent losing James is devastating for this defense in it's GonNa put a little more pressure on their offense in tyrod the score some points because I don't think you can count on them being top five upside defense when Derwin James is not on the phone I don't like that term more pressure on tyrod Taylor to Scorpions I know that everyone is fascinated with tyrod Taylor right now it's plain out and it's not fair to him, but it's almost. I think it's like a little bit of the hard knocks after I know. I, mean, it's just that's what happened in Cleveland what a leader what a guy and I think he is, and I think the coaching staff really loves Anthony. Lynn loves tyrod Taylor the person in wants Tim to be functional but the problem is tyrod. Taylor stops being fun about three weeks from now and then you got a rookie quarterback that when. Coaching them. He did he had some moments to be fair when he was in Buffalo In Buffalo yes. Not In Cleveland and I just think that there was I don't know come on. I, mean Austin to me is the centerpiece on that offense I believe in until the end but they're wide receiver right now back he's not but look at their wide receiver position. So what how do you WanNa talk about scaring the defense with a mobile quarterback, but they can't do anything they had said they're gonNA. They're immobilizing how how versatile they can be through the air. I think it's a rough place for Justin. Herbert. To get starts early to I, don't like that at all.

"WELCOMING SOLICITATION ESPN AFC on down Thomas. Of course. One topic dominates today show and Matty's volume unit being crowned the twenty twenty you eight for champions the winners Kinsey Komen's goal the difference between the two sides I ever player in fact that Champions League final to school against his old Jamie Lee, frank and Craig Burley with me to reflect on the final Craig that wasn't quite as high scoring as we as expected however the best. The best team one and appear she will get CIANCI's the third clearly. Stating the obvious but there were good chances. You'd expect much better protect the MVP chance not long before halftime quite an embarrassing finish. To be honest and I personally think by got macho a first gear. In terms of you know what they can produce. were, able to control the game and when the Champions League yeah. This wasn't quite what we are expecting. Frank. Why not? Well because of clumsiness, some some players and and just mentioned MVP I think I'm not sure that mini. Was the best team overall during the season of chimpanzee. Yes. But then that game I think they were in control of the game but personally, I had some chances to to to surprise him to kill them even and. The fantastic new year in goal I. Think. Could have lead the game in the first half but again, mini chinses wasted by a the strikers and I think Keefe I can regime the game I. Think the defense is the defense is better than the tax which pulls them what we were expensive causality. Wasn't but I think a good example of that was choice at NC. Flake makes in terms of having Komen playing therapeutic. Essentially telling us you know what we think insulin common can dominate one one situation sending doing that we don't need. WE'RE NOT GONNA force funds Davis to get forward down the left hand side because kids can take care that. Finish it cannot do that as well. He talks signed. Davis on the overlapping runs and I think is by design that Afonso Davis did not really have a for dissipation in attack he was holding back almost as if to say, you know what this is our way of not dropping off we're going to maintain our hide line while we're not gonNA take many chances going forward and I think what you saw from by Munich is they played A conservative game with a lot of talented players and bathing. Not WanNa take chances really going forward because the the time that they did take those chances going forward than PSG had opportunities and when we say that PSG had opportunities, we're talking about PTSD team who had the chances fall to the right people. It's too bad is to Neymar is to Maria three clear opportunities in my opinion. In the first half they not take advantage of and from then on it was difficult to see PTSD to get after by Munich particularly after by an escort PSG got disorganized, they were more concerned about the files, the yellow cars, the physicality of the game rather than playing the game a no better example of that that Neymar who in the second half had difficulties trapping the ball passing. The ball doing the basic stock he was busy drawing fouls but not actually having an impact on the game. We

Gun Violence Spikes in NYC, Intensifying Debate Over Policing
"A New York. City has experienced a surge in violent crime in recent weeks, including a two hundred percent increase in shootings between June, fifteenth and July second of this year, a compared the same time in two thousand and nineteen over the July fourth holiday weekend, sixty four people were shot. Eleven died when we're gunshot wounds and the last four weeks New York. City has seen an increase in shootings. Compared to last year, there was one especially. especially heartbreaking shooting on video of a father gunned down in broad daylight while walking hand in hand the six year old daughter, the Bronx, but it isn't just gun violence troubling the big apple in the past two weeks, there was a grisly knife attack in the subway and a stabbing in Brooklyn, following the George Floyd protest against police brutality. You were police department disbanded. It's plain clothes unit, which has been involved in a disproportionate number of fatal officer involved shootings last week at NYPD captured a video, mocking the new overly cautious policing tactics being implemented in New York City a following the nationwide protests against police brutality in. In early June New York City Mayor Bill Blogs, you announced. He's moving resources from the NYPD to youth and social services as part of our city's budget. Mayor de Blasio proposes cutting nearly one billion dollars, and then PD are presentative. Alexandria Cossio Cortez scoffed at the proposal calling it a disingenuous illusion thing. defunding police means defunding police on Thursday during virtual townhall because you cortes talked about the uptick crime in new. York City, pointing out constant new NYPD hasn't happened yet, and there's still an increase in crime, a proposed theories for the crimewave and asked do we think has to do with the fact that there's record unemployment. Unemployment, in the United States right now as she continue the fact that people are at a level of economic desperation, we have not seen since the great recession and the Democratic Socialists hypothesize the increase in York City. Violence could stem from Renton demands and people shoplifting bread. Maybe this has to do with the fact that people aren't paying their rent and are scared to pay the rent. She said, and so they go out, and they need to feed their child, and they don't have money, so you maybe have to. They're putting the position. They feel like they either need to shoplift some bread or go hungry that nights. Okay so let's break this down Carrie. Did she offer any information? Suggesting the shoplifting of bread is on the rise. No no, she did not. Offer any information or proof that people are being evicted McCain pay their rent now. Okay so I've got Dr Carson on today. He the Hudsucker secretary as you know, and he's the one who talks about foreclosures and Ranson evictions and stuff like that, and of course as you know because you're a smart news person of fifty, some odd years old. You know that there had been abatements for people paying rent or getting addicted or getting foreclosed on right. They literally can't be evicted, or it'd be foreclosed on under the rules. Put Out by Hud Housing Urban Development. Run by Secretary Ben. Carson, so we don't have any proof because it isn't happening. People are being shot and killed in the streets of New York. It's. It's not over buying bread or not for stealing bread, but there's no proof of anybody shoplifting more bread in new. York, so that's unverified and probably untrue, and there's certainly no proof of people being evicted or being foreclosed on because there are rules in place protecting people right now, but I guess the broader question along with why the beep is this person in Congress? Has To be wife. She saying it. Because it's also ally that there has been no defunding or disbanding a police in new. York 'cause you just said if the the crime unit has been disbanded. The Crime Unit that actually was on top of the most violent crimes, and stopping is no longer there, therefore the violent criminals who are not stealing bread. Are Out there, killing each other and killing innocent people, so your thoughts on this. Would you hear this this dolt this? Dope. AFC saying such stupid things what goes through your mind
Boston - Patriots’ Cam Newton Signing Made Official
"Dea think that Cam Newton on the New England patriots when everybody for the last few months or so have simultaneously thrown dirt on the Patriots and elevated the Buffalo Bills. Do you think the. You have to bet right now. Bad Online. We'll hear about them in just a second go on Ben Online. Who Are you picking in the AFC right now? Well. Let's really break down the Patriots you know we're talking about. What's going to happen now that Brady's gone? How many! Hall of Famer Potential Hall of Famer and Hall of famers and Pro Bowlers. Have left the Patriots in the last two decades. Many men meant. Yes, that's all they do. All they do is turn over personnel or for the Sidebar to that is guys. Get thrown money by other by the other thirty one teams. I'll go hill. Replicate what he did in new, England is like no, no, there's some weird Voodoo that goes on up in Foxborough. That does not translate down the Tennessee or Texas or wherever else you're talking about right, so we're not talk. You know we're not talking about. What are the dolphins going to do without Dan Marino. Because they've changed show so much personnel on the offensive and defensive side of the ball over the last twenty years that if there's any team that is poised to turn over one guy now, he's the quarterback. Obviously, that's a super important job, but if anyone has proven that, they can swap one guy out for another guy, it's the Patriots. Of Foreign. Any other organization. And proof of that for any of the cynics out there, they're ignoring I know. It was a limited sample size, but Jimmy G. One every game he ever played Jacoby perset was was good as well when he had the takeover for Brady. Yeah, it's a and you know for what it's worth. Three BLEDSOE came in way back when at the start of the Millennium and beat the steelers in in Heinz field when Brady got hurt, so there's plenty of track record that you're going to be able to plug qb in there and succeed. It is interesting though that given the way Brady plays versus the way that same position and everything else. Else but wildly different way, but people say well how how CAM GONNA fit into that New England system. Have you watched the Patriots play? They don't do the same thing weekend week out. They always change it. They're obviously GONNA change what they do to accommodate number one now.
Cam Newton reaches deal with the New England Patriots
"In football cam Newton heading to New England the former NFL MVP has agreed to a one year deal to join bill Belichick and the New England Patriots ESPN's Dan Orlovsky says this move automatically makes the pats a contender in the AFC once again but if he's healthy this is a problem for the A. S. C. because now the patriots certainly have somebody at the quarterback position that's got experience that's got talent and any any any way that Josh McDaniels probably has never had both in the run game and a multiplicity they can do with that scheme Newton had spent the last nine years and I suppose the first nine years of his career as a Carolina

Senator Amy Klobuchar to be vetted for Vice President
"Other election news to Amy Klobuchar Is being vetted for Vice President though? I imagine she'll be one of a few candidates so this in no way means she will be the pick but everyone speculating about it on social media. I'm GonNa vote for Joe Biden because trump is not an option. No matter who the picket I have my favorites. But it's nothing is a deal breaker in this election for me. So you know it's funny for me obviously like the idea of Amy Klobuchar. Vp off as thrilling but on the flip side You started this morning. Agm facebook. I was reading about it. That a Biden named ASC to lead his climate task force. That feels like a huge. That feels like a huge huge signal to progressives that he's GonNa take that seriously that gives me a lot of hope and A lot of positive feelings. Ya same me to it. Really sort of puts forth the idea of the Big Toe Party and that we need all progresses and moderates and conservative Democrats at the table exactly Because the you know we're just fighting against this one small faction of the Republican Party which is trump base. And they're just insane and we can't have that so I am glad I. I'm glad that he picked Kluber Shar an John Kerry or not of AFC and John Kerry to head up the climate task force you know. She is the architecture of the green new deal. John Kerry was the architect the Paris Climate Accord. So right there. You've got just so much incredible experience in so many amazing ideas and I think he's really really open to bringing the progressives into into the party. So I'm I'm like you. I'm hopeful with that with that news as well. Yeah and it wasn't just an ASC but is also the CO founder of the Sunrise Movement. Which is a huge youth climate organization? So that is a huge unity task force for me. And I'm I'm really happy about that. Greatness news yet and I'm and I know his he's putting together a Cova Task Force. He has already. And I'm hoping that as he continues to put together these task forces that he continues to just build dislike mega of all different walks of the Democratic Party. And and and you know just make it. So everybody is represented Absolutely I think if everybody feels represented one way or another. That's the way we move forward. Not everyone's going to be happy all the time but but you can have both inclusivity in compromise existing in the same space. I think So yeah that's that's that's great news and just the fact that there will be a woman. Vp is is
Democracy Cant Thrive in Chaos
"Jane Fonda was arrested five times for environmental protest outside the Capitol this fall. She accepted a BAFTA film award while being taken into custody and photographs. The actor cast a striking figure in handcuffs in red will coat. It's a color fitting for the protests which are inspired by global school strikes and called Fire Drill. Fridays fresh from her arrest streak. The activists joined environmental justice campaigner and community organizer. Peggy Shepherd to record a live episode of Dare. I say in partnership with AMEX AT SAKS fifth avenue in New York City Peggy has been at the forefront of the Environmental Justice Movement in the US for a long time. She founded nonprofit organization. We Act for Environmental Justice in North Manhattan in the eighties. It helped low income New Yorkers in particular communities of color fight harmful environmental policies. It now fights for better environmental and health policies on a local and national level in the I live recorded episode of Dare. I say peggy and Jane discussed civil disobedience the green new deal resilience and why it is important for women to lead the climate conversation. How can we remedy empathy crisis? That has hurt generations of Americans. Why is the cult of rugged individualism driving climate disaster? What can older generations learned from teenagers at the decades on the frontlines? Peggy and Jane Have Not Stop Fighting. They are women who dare. Hi You know. We have a lot in common where activists arrested. But why have you decided to be arrested and to be active at this moment in time over Labor Day weekend? I felt great malaise because I drive an electric car and I do away with single use plastics and I make all those right personal lifestyle choices but I knew that they're not going to be able to scale up in time to get us where we need to be is a good place to start but it's no place to stop and so. I read a book by Klein that talked about a green new deal and talked about gratitude and it inspired me to get out of my comfort zone as Greta says we have to do and not behave business as usual as you know better than a lot of people. We have decades many decades more than forty years writing speeches and books and getting the word out about the science. What the science says. And we've marched and we've rallied and we've played nice and it hasn't worked enough and we only have eleven years left and so we have to up the stakes and I think we have to mobilize and go into the streets and put our bodies on the line and engage in civil disobedience and risk getting arrested. I don't WANNA BE ARRESTED. But you know you have to be willing to risk it so I went. I moved to DC for four months to win gaijin fired real Fridays because Fridays is the day that Greta and the student climate strikers have chosen to strike for climate so I want to support them and helpless their message teenagers today were born more than a decade after NASA scientists warned Congress about climate change in nineteen eighty eight. James Hansen told lawmakers at the time that he was ninety nine percent sure that human activity was causing temperatures to rise. Teenagers today have inherited the climate crisis. They have grown up. In a world of apocalyptic headlines and increasingly volatile weather. It's no surprise that they are extremely intelligent educated and now taking to the streets sweetest teenager. Greta Tonsberg inspired a wave of student protests across the world when she skipped school to strike outside of her country's parliament. And so how do you feel that? We really can motivate young people and youth to really be the strong activists that they need because they are going to inherit this climate this globe right now. What I'm feeling is I don't need to motivate them. They're motivating me. They're the ones because they see that we've taken their future not we. The fossil fuel industry has is robbing them of the future and we can't let them shoulder this burden by themselves. So Granny's unite. Older people have to get out there and and we have to stand along side them. This is a collective crisis that's going to require a collective solution that means all of us together because it is a stomach and we know that we can each take the issues that we need. Whether it's changing light bulbs whether it's recycling. We know that we can do all of those things. But we know that it's systemic and that we gotta come together collectively to educate our elected officials and to pressure the policymakers to really pass the kind of legislation that we all need. But we know that we can't do that with the message. Simply reducing carpet or a message. Simple energy efficiency. We've got a really embraced the values that appeal to all of our communities because Oliver Communities are not whole. They're not healthy. We know that millions of people in this country are living with bad air. They don't have clean water and they are disproportionately impacted by pollution and the Environmental Justice Movement has really for the last thirty years were to achieve environmental protection for all communities and we know also that when we talk about climate change and you hear people talk about climate justice. Climate Justice is not just a cool phrase. It's really a term that is focused on the most vulnerable communities. And how we've got to take action to ensure that the most vulnerable are protected because when that happens we're all protected and so we've got agreement deal and we know that that's been an important framework that's been proposed and it's wonderful that she was not prescriptive. Afc and the others who have talked about this framework we know that it has motivated sectors of of our country to get together and fill in the blanks. What they think is a green new deal what they need for their communities and for their lives and that's been a very important motivator. I think in this moment for a long time. There's been this rap that the environmental movement is white and elite. I think even Obama kind of felt that way but my experience is that that is not the case and then in fact people of color who live in the frontline communities have been very much at the forefront of the environmental movement and are the bravest strongest voices. It's a stereotype that people of color don't really care about the environment. Because they're really concerned with with jobs and food and of course we're all concerned with that but what? I've found predominantly above ninety sixth street when we have monthly membership meetings. It's not the more fluent Brown's donors who are coming out on these sites. It's people from public housing. We get so many calls about air pollution coming into their apartments about odors and emissions from trucks cars buses. We have worker training program for under employed young men and we invited them to come to our membership meetings to hear about issues of climate change or toxins in and chemicals cosmetics and they were able to understand the issue they were able for the probably the first time in their lives to talk to an elected official and tell them what they felt in what they needed and so it's about support. People know what they need. They just need some support to be able to advocate and to be able to. Maybe have a place to come and use computer. Have a place to come and ask some key questions. Let me just tell you that the upcoming mayoral public housing tenants are going to be a major factor in who gets elected and we're going to be organizing them and there's coalitions all over the city to ensure that some of the most vulnerable people are the ones who are going to be part of the solution and so I would simply say that the most vulnerable when we address them we lift all boats. It's not about trickle down. It's about lifting everyone up together and that's what creates an equitable and just society.

Political Power Player Cecilia Muoz Reminds Us That We Are More Than Ready
"How Did you stumble into advocacy? I was very sure that I was going into what I think of his direct service like that was my thing. I was aiming towards it. I I could picture myself in an office. Like seeing clients of some sort and helping them with the stuff. That's why I volunteered at the legal clinic. When I was in graduate school I found myself a job with archdiocese at Chicago right after graduate school and that was just very sure that that was my path and I ended up until literally got intervened got actually kind of way intervened. It's a very strange story. So I'm I'm working as an organizer for It's called Perez Community Services and the sizes of Chicago and an immigration law passes and because I have been working as a lowly volunteer in a legal clinic in graduate school. I knew a tiny bit about this law and my boss's boss was the guy responsible for building up the legalization operation to help. Undocumented people become legal residents so I was asking him questions just because I was curious about like how you GonNa do this because there was a way that law worked the application period started by law on May Fifth Congress decided to open it on Cinco de Mayo. You know for symbolic reasons and so they had to be ready to start on that date weather. The regulations were ready whether the agency was ready so I had questions for him in this poor man had the cardinal breathing down his neck. Saying we have to do this. Half of the Catholics in Chicago are are Hispanic and this is our moment to show our flock that we are with them and he so he called me into his office and said the Lord sent me a dream and I want you to lead this legalization effort. I was twenty four hours of my first job out of graduate. School did not have illegal immoral. No I've been like a paralegal way in the bowels of this little organization. I'm very good at collating papers. You'll right And I have no management experience at all and I also don't have mentors so like an idiot. I take this job because I cared about what I cared about. What was happening. I don't believe the Lord spoke to Father Ruby. I think he was desperate But I threw myself into it and it was an amazing challenging experience and we crushed it but I learned a lot about myself. I learned a lot about the Catholic church. Some of which I wish I didn't know and I learned I suck at direct service. I mean my program did really well there were. There was a universe of people who qualified under the law in a lot of people who didn't qualify under the law. And the thing that I couldn't do is like go of the people that we had to say no to because they didn't qualify. I lost sleep. I agonized and I realized people who are good at this are able to live with the reality of what they can and can't do and they were able to test themselves often. Get up every morning and do it. I wasn't so I this thing. I thought I was supposed to be good at that. I believed in. I discovered. I wasn't good at it. I wasn't cut out for it. Turns out on an advocate and I'm a structural reform and I just didn't know until I tried to do what I thought I was meant to do and failed and I I tell that story all the time because I think it's important for people to know it's okay to try something discover. It's not what you cut out for it. That's how you one of the ways that you land where you're supposed to let you have this realization. You also realize it requires you to move to Washington. Dc to really do you want. Do I love the fact that part of your resistance to moving. Dc was just that you're introverted and didn't WANNA make new friend turned not be more sympathetic to that but then you end up NCR for two decades when you first get there. Lobbying is the type of loving you. Reduce very much defined by men totally. Yes I was the only woman in the room all the time. And so how did you have to personally adapt to meet that moment? So there is a section. The book called Sharp Elbows and other tools and it refers to the fact. I'm not actually sharp elbows person but there was literally a point at which the group of men that I was working with that were sort of coalition partners we were at congressional markup where they literally mark up a piece of legislation. And when it's over everybody stands up. In the guys stood in a circle they formed a little huddle to like compare notes. And do all the things you do afterwards which are important and I couldn't get in the huddle and I was frustrated. Went back to my boss and complained and he said he who is my height. Said you just gotTa just elbow you weigh-in that's like it's not personal. He said they're not but you're short. You're a woman you're Kinda knew so elbow one of them and say could you let me in here and be fine and I I did. I had to do that the next time. And I only had to do it once But that kind of stuff happened all the time. I was in a board meeting where I was ten years younger than everybody. The only woman the only let the And they're making decisions about board officers and the head of the organization pipes up and says up secretary while. I guess that Cecilia should do that job. And my first thought was oh come on. Are you kidding me so but what I remember about those things from thirty years ago now is that I didn't feel I could I am now I think? Why did I feel like I couldn't do that? I thought the thought that somebody else said. If I were giving advice to my younger self now it would be you can say it. Of course you can say it And to you know give yourself the confidence to recognize that I like. I didn't have a voice in my head saying you. This is a group working on immigration. And you're the only Hispanic person in this room. A vet gives you standing. You can either say I'm the only Latin and that gives me twice as much room to say what I need to say or the only one here so I have no cover. And that's what makes us nervous exactly and over and over again from that point all the way through my timer. The White House. It's not just the I might not have cover. It's also the and I don't WanNa be the gadfly that is always pushing everybody so much that the next time I when my mouth? They're all gonna just roll their eyes and not listen. That's the other thing that I feel like my you know. My radar is always going for because hall point of being in those places to be effective and so I also feel like I was aware of not overstating my case so as not to get to the place where nobody. I was on the field on game day thing. The thing we kept saying this can't be real. Just a bunch of boys having the time of their lives. That was Baker Mayfield reacting when asked. Where he was what happened when he found out Baker Odell Beckham junior was coming to the Cleveland Browns big presser in Cleveland. They had I, Freddie kitchens. The head coach spoke on his own wearing the Cleveland Cleveland Indians hat and for all the off shocks. Freddie kitchens. Freddie knows what he's doing. He's putting that cap on. It's another reminder. Hey, I'm here to coach ball ball. And be one of you like he gets it. He started the presser wishing them. Good luck on their home opener which is like a veteran coach move. So Freddie, does his thing. And then they tried out the four big stars of the Browns Myles Garrett who did not have a lot to do or say in this press conference. Jarvis Landry who is the BFF, of course of Odell Beckham. And then Baker Mayfield and the had about twenty to thirty minute presser the introduction, your initial takeaways Mark from the press conference, well, I appreciated the bake. For Mayfield and the rest of talked about it being a bit of a surreal moment because that's what I've been saying the whole time. And even now it just seemed weird because the Browns I think have probably led the league in hopeful press conferences that have led to literally nothing but utter disaster and this occurred on April Fools day number one, which I found a little anti. But I do think Finally I think they were sitting up there looking at each other like how is this come together? How's this happen? And Baker mayfield's, quote, totally encapsulates that it's still it's still one. There was one moment though. Because Baker Mayfield some edge to them with the reporters to is like more. There was no one here last year. Now, you're all here. It's like, okay. Well, you're tattoo. What's going on there? But he basically one point when they're starting to peg Odell Beckham with who are you the person? Should we be concerned about Bill Beckham the experience and Baker Mayfield said he's here today? He didn't have to be it's voluntary. He's part of this team cares. Very much. So I think they're all glued together because owed L and Baker were hanging out long before this happened and he's legit best friends with Landry and people..

"Mike, and I are still here it's been goofy. But we promised to give you our best recap of the past couple of days and Mike could the NFL have asked for anything more when it comes to drama on Sunday in the AFC championship games. Well, I'm gonna give you shout right out of the gate because has you tweeted something, I think it was Sunday morning and you posted Drake's Instagram posts where he said that both games. He put he had a shirt right for those. God do of course, Toronto's finest and one of the most popular figures and just like the public now like not just wrap like the guy is incredibly well liked and well known he has rooted for several teams and high leverage moments and has infamously also rooted for the team that went onto lose Alabama football showed up a game. They lose Kentucky basketball. He shows them. They lose. Of course, he's always been there. When the raptors of hosted the Cavs. And of course. That was during the LeBron James era, but they always lost his well. So the great curse become a thing and so- Drake on late Saturday night posted a picture of himself on his Instagram story, wearing a sweatshirt that across his chest. And then going diagonally down had each of the logos of the four-team still championship Sunday. Right. So he can't curse them. But you tweeted Sunday, this means both games will be a tie. And sure enough they were both ties. I mean, I mean as close to ties you could possibly go poster ties, I sat there, and I think you nailed health like, this is hilarious. It's I don't like when you laugh at your own tweets because I don't typically do that. But I was like, wow. Like, I totally did not mean that when I actually posted I was trying to be funny, and it turned out to look very pressure. Thank you. Because I tweeted it and said you nailed it or something and got like, I don't know three thousand likes stuff so good impressions for my account. That helps my brand you're helping my brain. Who'd for clay is good for me. What's good for my class? Good for everybody might let's begin with the NFC. Game would go chronologically here. And again, like fantasy ties wise. Listen, there's going to be so much content. This off season we don't necessarily to rehash whether drew Brees should have gone higher lower or should have been in your championship lineup or not general impressions from this New Orleans game..

"Made made me. Oh, right. And welcome back to the GMC football podcast. So far today we've talked AFC east and AFC north and AFC west. I got the patriots when in the AFC east, the Steelers winning the AFC north and the chargers winning the west by me finishing second, the east Cincinnati in the north and the Broncos finishing second in the west, finishing third in the east. I got the jets third in the north Baltimore, third in the west, the chiefs, and the last place in each of those divisions is the bills Browns and raiders. Now that just leaves the AFC south and Jacksonville's my favorite to win the division Jacksonville, I think is going to win the division. So I am picking picking that Jacksonville to win that division. Jacksonville last season, they went to the title game seemingly played scared in that second half. And I think that's what cost them the game. Also, if. How do you say why drawing a blank on his linebacker's name? Usually I don't do stuff like that. Miles, Jack, if miles Jack isn't ruled down on that one play where he creates turnover. And ended up scoring that touchdown. Then. Jacksonville wins again. Either way, I guess that doesn't get the fact that they still play scared in that second half. And that's what the cost. Everyone has come to terms with the fact. Yeah, that's what happened. They played scare. The way coming into their second season as another good good team. I mean, the defense is still the defense number one league. I think. And I don't really do to my fantasy football Jacksonville defense in fantasy football. I mean, that's an easy fifteen points game. I'd say at least. I mean, if you had them last or you saw that they were probably as much as your best running back or somewhere around there. But either way, I mean, yeah, the defense still looks good. They Alvin Robinson and Alan Hearns go to different teams. Markey's Lee was supposed to be their number one receiver. The season he ends up getting hurt and he's going to be missing the season. Does that create a problem? I'm not too sure about that. I like Keenan Cole. I like eighty Westbrook. They got Dante Moncrieff, they're, they're not the best of the best, but they're young guys with talent who need to develop. So I'm not like worried about the ride receivers or anything like that. Blake Bortles. I mean, I'm just going to choose to believe that he'll be a decent quarterback. Again. This season isn't really need to do too much because you got Leonard fournette right behind Leonard fournette. I think's gonna rush for about fourteen hundred yards this season pie gopher around eight to ten touchdowns I think he's going to be that good and actually thirteen hundred yards. Ten touchdowns fourteen hundred will be tough considering all these events going to start the blocks. I mean, yeah. When you got a great defense, you're always going to win a good amount of ballgames. And when you had the best defense in the league, they're going to most likely finish over five hundred. So I got Jacksonville winning that division. I mean, I think that's a pretty easy pick at this point..

"Main of the mouth doesn't stop talking my takeaway. Why is the mouth still better about the AFC title game. Well, I think. Hit her. I think he's a, he's bitter about the choices. Clean may actually, what's interesting. Right? Because he's not. Yeah, you know, he's throwing a little while Jack was down reusable questions and the rest. But but he said, you know, we deserve blame for how he handled it. And I don't think a lot of people would disagree that necessarily. So I ran the hill an answer. Whatever question you ask is something that I have a lot of other reporters have learned in that it was something I, I asked him about how he felt about it. He he kept going about multiple different things to end and look, we'd love field loves this. I'd love it. We have clamored for so long for athletes to dispeat- their mind. Do you find does Jalen almost find that ironic that now that he is speaking his mind, he's getting pushback in certain levels after all they one year. Well, yeah. I mean, it, you know, he's going into his third year. He's an old crow. Oh, last season. So we, I think he's proven himself. Thirdly, you know, some people think is the best cornerback in the NFL. But I guess my feeling is we talk a lot about and coming into this. I heard the quotes people reacting when he says this about better off is bigger. He said this about Matt Ryan. That's just doesn't really matter like it matters to us and we have fun with it and we'll go to all those players last and what you think of it. But ultimately what really matters is how he feels and what he says about his own team has own coaches zone organization. That's the stuff that matters. So this other stuff it, it's fun. It's entertaining, but I don't think that really affects them. Right. I don't think he's concerned about the ramifications of that the ramifications of commenting on his own team. However, I think can be more serious if he pushes it there. That's my question is like, do you think there's a line for Jalen Ramsey? I think most people feel as though he has already blown right past the line by giving an honest assessment. But do you think he sort of senses where the line is how much leeway he has before there could be some sort of. Ramifications or backlash from his team? I do. I think it's Blake Bortles. I mean, is there any doubt is Blake Bortles living on his team? He would be speaking about him differently. You know, I mean in my teeth in other comments, he's made about Blake, there is a little bit more sensitivity. Unsure. You guys noticed in how he talks about him, how he fits in the team. He's more careful. He's more cautious. You're not gonna come out and say, Blake, Bortles is trash. The way he has said about other quarterbacks. And I think if he did that would be a lot more serious than him talking about Matt Ryan or Ben Rothlisberger, and I think he knows that. And you know, there are a little things like he mentioned the story. He likes an Instagram post that has some replacements for Bordeaux's and he did tell me he thought they should graft a quarterback and a lot of people including myself, maybe agree with that. But he is careful not to, I think, cross the line their field because I do think that could cause some problems for him in the organization. Munichites joins us year, rod Spain in fits Kevin winter. Field Yates filling in for Sarah and Jason tonight, and he's got the story at ESPN the magazine. She's our senior writer, the man, the mount. The legend mean off of that point that field just to the question that feel just brought up to you. This old works when you're winning, doesn't it? Right? So when so, let's say in field and I were having this conversation earlier, I don't think Jacksonville is one of those teams that could make it to the Super Bowl this year out of the AFC. They couldn't be there in the conversation. I still don't know if they've got what it takes. So with all of that being said, if they're not winning in advancing to beyond where they were year ago, does this still work. Well, I think that's, that's a great question because you know, part of the reason he is the way he is so confident he.

"Is Jalen Ramsey still. Oh, how do I say this here at this hour the night? Why is Jalen Ramsey still hurt over the AFC title game. I don't think that I think Jalen Ramsey just speaks his mind. Like I think Jalen Ramsey is he's just he's just like, what's the? What? Like people have shows, we have to call the unfiltered version like there is. No, he's Ramsey on filter. No, because there is like there's no such thing as they filtered Jalen Ramsey he is, he speaks his mind. Well, there's a part of the star it meantime, she wrote the story for ESPN ESPN magazine Jalen Ramsey references, the officials cost the Jaguars game of the thought by the way, me as the former season ticket holder in New England. That's where I have fun at Jalen Ramsey expense all Jalen. You poor baby, you poor baby. You still hurt over that. That's where I have some fun with them. You can kind of chuckle at me on that one, but listen, I get it. I. I can also understand why Jalen is upset. The end of the day I always fall back on this is like when you win a game and you have a favor call the goes in your favor. You don't say a peep about the refs right. When you lose a game and you have something that goes against you, it becomes a story. It becomes the starting line by the right, see, two thousand and one how this whole thing started in the in the snowball or otherwise. People notice the tucked. Well, speaking of which field eight has been my contention in. I have been proven accurate for many, many years. The AFC. It is extremely top heavy, and there were only a select number of teams that can win the conference. For many years. It has been Brady Payton manning Ben Rothlisberger some combination of those three with the one year of rich Gannon and Joe flacco built in to go to the Super Bowl. The AFC rep has been between one of those three quarterbacks mainly Brady manning and Big Ben. Okay. It is my contention this year. Again, this is a shortlist the only teams that can win the AFC this year are New England Pittsburgh and the extra team are the Houston Texans because I do not forget what one does Shawn Watson look like your ago. Damn, damn good. Those are the only three teams that can win the AFC. How far off? Emma, I think you're off by two teams. Naby free. Okay. In terms of in terms of total number of AFC contenders and I'll work backwards on this. I think the LA chargers are a legitimate contender this year. I'm not sure why it's so funny. But last year they started off Owen four, and then we're one of the best teams in the NFL for the second kid they came from now they do have or they did have taken issues. The basically doom them in two games early on in the year. Right? We'll see whether that rectified they've got, you know, kicking competition right now which not that really moves the needle in sports radio, but any doesn't move into sports radio. But, hey, to prove the point you to set it may not move into sports radio. It will move whether or not you go to the playoffs and correct so it could. So the charges seem to have a couple of things they had iron out from last year's roster that they have made strides in option e. Exactly that I believe the Jacksonville Jaguars are unquestionably contender again this year. Think about what got them to where they were last season. All right. It was not a good, not a very good like a borderline historically good defense a running game behind a strong offensive line. No part of that equation has gotten worse this year. As a matter of fact, probably got better. It probab-. Got better on defense with a few guys..

"To get your wallets out patriots at thirty. One percent St.. Dealers at twenty three percent or the two likeliest teams to reach the Super Bowl. I either give you both those teams the field in the AFC. You've got gotta bed at all. When you do. I mean FBI is telling us it's fifty four percent chance between those two. So that logic would suggest that you should take those two. But in football, I think you've always take the field because of the questions about injury. I also think the Steelers have a lot of other questions going on. Got rothlisburger was injuries before it even begins. He got Levy on bell holding out again. We know he'll be there, but now Brown gets older. I think there are sneaky. Good teams in the AFC. All right. I present my case with Houston. I present my case with Jacksonville. I present my case with the Los Angeles chargers who if they had a home field advantage would be good if mastered Mahomes really catches fire, I present Kansas City. I think there were more good teams in the AFC than people say, I'll take the field. You presented a great case. But again for me when it comes to New England. Oakland and Pittsburgh. They are the standard in the AFC at the end of the day. When we, you know, we can talk about the Shawn Watson, these stay healthy, the Jacksonville, Jaguars. I know one thing I know New England in Pittsburgh, they want to be at the end. That's why I'm taking New England and Pittsburgh cotton because usually you do just take the field if you're gonna, you're betting it all by the way. This wasn't just some lifelock. I'm swatting my chips in. I'm not afraid, and it really does come down to the quarterback too. When you think about it, they've been the dominant teams in the conference for a long time, and it's not for incidence at the patriots have had Tom Brady that whole time in the Steelers of had Ben Rothlisberger that entire time, maybe they're run continues as long as though those two guys are their quarterbacks. But there are some of these as I mentioned up in coming teams. And I really believe that one to watch is Houston. And I think a lot of those teams could be good, but Houston agreed earlier this morning Damien, Woody gave you the Shawn Watson is the best young quarterback in football, and I agree with Andre Hopkins and Lamar Miller, a really good defense that should. JJ watt back. I think the Texans are a very, very sneaky. Good pick to win the AFC this year. We were all watching last year. Knock on wood. Coming up Tiger Woods about to open. "And that is a tried true method for winning. One mathematical aspect of preseason, I definitely should mention. We talk about how critically important that NFL three is never wanna lay three and a half. When you could've laid three, you never wanna take a plus two and a half when you could've taken plus three during the regular season typically. But in the preseason that three Ross not nearly as important because ultimately, by the end of sixty minutes, most coaches want to go home. They don't want to continue the game. They've scripted out how many plays everyone's gonna get. So what happens when a team is down seven points at the end of a game and they score touchdown, they're going for two, so more games, land, and outcome of a team winning by one. Point or by two points and far fewer games land on exactly three. Let's get to the AFC north than Steve because this'll finish up our divisional series for the AFC side of things. We did the AFC east. We both saw a couple real good opportunities there. We both saw a couple real good opportunities in the AFC south. We differed on the opportunities that we saw a little bit in the AFC west a week ago. Let's get to the AFC north. We're kind of doing a deeper dive on these teams where they're at what their win total is and what we think of them. So to the AFC north and we'll start at the tap with the Pittsburgh Steelers, what's the latest on their win, total, Steve. So their win total is Kenan half the vigorous toward the under. So they're supposed to, they're more of a favourite to win less than ten games, but that is their number Pittsburgh. My number five NFL team bagels as Pittsburgh is the number two. In power ratings NFL team. My problem with Pittsburgh, and I think this is wide rather bet them over the regular season Ross. What's the book on Pittsburgh every year they will lose a game badly on the road to a team that they're way way better than they will play about five hundred ball on the road against decent teams. They'll beat every good team that they play at home as long as they don't have patriots on their helmets and that game they'll lose. They seem to be fairly predictable team in my eyes week to week. I think that's exactly right. They, they play to their level of competition. It seems like they have at least one often, two games that they lose a year where you're like, how did that just happen? But then they'll look. I mean, they obviously should have beaten the patriots last year. You know, they strike me Steve as a team that doesn't realize. 's the like how important those regular season games are, because then they're always you'll lash they would've had to play a New England if they beat Jacksonville the year before they had to play at Kansas City. And then at New England, it was hard to win road playoff games. But I feel like inevitably, even the Steelers talent might be thirteen and three, they'll probably be more like eleven, five, ten and six. I think part of that is because I expect both Baltimore, Cincinnati and Cleveland. I do expect all three of those teams to be better this year. You know, I think that Big Ben for whatever reason does not play nearly as well on the road as he doesn't home..
