Los Angeles - Cal State Long Beach halts in-person classes and locks down campus after positive Covid-19 tests
"At Long Beach has just put over 300 students on covert quarantine. A number of our students have tested positive for Covad 19 4 of those students live in our on campus residence holes. Jeff Cook, a spokesman for the school and out of an abundance of caution. We've placed the residents in our dormitories and quarantine for two weeks, and we've also paused in person instruction for two weeks, all in person classes or shut down for two weeks after total of five students. Tested positive for covert 19 details are sketchy, but hotels can exits looks as if they were at a social gathering. Where if you were wearing masks, social distancing, not following the protocols, everyone else is supposed to follow. In all 328 students live in the dorms and must quarantine I would imagine, although I can't confirm that a number of them are not in the residence hall since it's a weekend. Home of those who are not in that situation and do return to school would be quarantined in the dorms. They don't believe any of the students who tested positive Look in person classes, however, out of an abundance of caution. We are causing our on campus instruction. While we do contact tracing soon to the dorms will be offered covert testing.
Los Angeles County Reports 18 New Coronavirus Deaths, 1,236 New Cases
