I think that that we need to say real clearly they will will take this solution yeah now a total cost of this project known as the capital express about seven point five billion dollars and today the Texas transportation commission will vote to bridge a four point three billion funding gap which when combined with the previous money already approved will fully fund the project so they got the money now the vision includes two new tolled lanes along the eight miles between two ninety and highway seventy one it could also Intel things like you know taking downtown taking down the upper deck maybe even bearing some of the lines underground through the core of the city it's huge it's a massive project and this is a big day the you know looks like the money is going to be available to do it but I don't expect by any stretch of imagination that therefore we're going to see ground broken within the next couple of weeks I don't think as we talked about earlier I don't think that I'm going to see it read it are probably at least won't be driving by the time this gets done I'll probably I won't be alive when it gets done maybe not or or at the very least I'm going to be someone's going to wheel me in my wheelchair to the top of a hill nine look down go well look at that and that's gonna be twenty years of construction to the core of the city yeah it's it's a huge huge huge project I don't understand because by the time they finish we may not be driving cars golfer not to it's possible yeah as Jim fly overhead who knows what the world is going to be like in ten years that's right it's changed so much in the past ten years it will be used as a runway for our flying cars in our jet back maybe so maybe so but then also what why do we continue to push so many people to live and work downtown in one area stack I just don't understand that in this digital age there's no need for any of us any of us to work in an office there's just no need for it if you're there in more and more or or I should show it less and less justification for it I just think solving some of our transportation problems should be incredible motivation and encouragement for telecommuting yeah I do too what a person should that should be the that should be just as big of a focus is building bridges and road that's what I've talked about I mean the way it is you know this seems to be incentivized to need to be encouraged it really does because we know we see the difference on those days and that the government is is closed for a holiday or or that the government and school we see the difference you know yeah I don't understand what people you know take these big paying jobs and live in the core of Seattle and San Francisco in Austin I mean with today's Kellett telecommuting you could live in the middle of Nebraska and live in a two hundred thousand dollar mansion on a hundred acres there you go you could live in Beaumont and not have to drive into downtown that's it you could do you could have a job in Austin and literally live in Beaumont now they are just house you've ever seen the artist renderings of this proposed idea it actually looks like there's gonna be less lines well it depends on what right right now you got three non tolled lanes basically what they want to do is have to told lines and then to non tolled lanes so so technically it would be less lanes that are free to drive on on I. thirty five well there that see the rendering I'm looking at here Todd if version the store and it looks like they're on top of the ground there's three lanes going in each direction one of those would be told underneath that you've got four lanes and then underneath that you've got two more looks like we which would be managed lanes underneath that so total the L. A. again the the the rendering I'm saying would be in it going H. away you would have a total of actually seven lanes and how many are in each way and how many are told right two for sure here meant a hard time reading this other one here is kind of blurry but anyway it's ambitious to say the least it is a it's it's a big and it is a big and don't doubt about that all right jump in here at five one two eight three six zero five ninety long overdue though right long overdue and there's also you know talk okay if we do berry I thirty five on the stretch like they're talking about the stretch from what what are we talking about like airports let's see two ninety to seventy seventy one yeah they're in they're talking about okay we bury these lanes then we can look at other options of things we can do above that you know we have green space we're gonna have places for people walking by could please please don't even consider any of that until you have just figured out how many lanes you can put in in in in the space that's going to be available yeah I got you eight forty two here on the top.
