Good morning it's thirteen past the hour on first light accu weather meteorologist dean devore is with this team marking the return of a winter whiplash the end in the eastern part of the country they were still bombing in some places got up in the lower fifties for a little bit along the eastern seaboard yesterday even in central Pennsylvania but they're waking up this morning to well New York and Boston have some heavy rain going through right now New York should end in the next hour so Boston probably to about seven or so but then in like places like St college it was like a gusty thunderstorm the wind through overnight and now it's snowing as the temperatures have plunged into the upper twenties so all through western Pennsylvania up to Detroit which got pummeled with that snow all day yesterday very icy and slippery this morning in the winds there is going to kick in and cause problems with a wind advisory high wind warnings out for lots of great lakes and over into the northeast to New England today for gusts to forty to fifty miles per hour yeah and it's the whiplash back from us kind of spring to winter the east's losses are the middle of the countries in the western states game here for the next couple of days is it's still nice today and mild Boise Eugene some rain starting to get close to Seattle later today but they will hold off till later tomorrow as we head to the weekend itself some of those areas will be a little chillier and there is some rain or snow along the Pacific Northwest coast mild air will stay over the weekend in the middle of the country so you know places like St Louis is coming out of the freezing going into some nice mild weather upper fifties to near sixty so yeah winter weather whiplash all over the place Michael I thank you so much pain you're welcome first light headlines now at quarter past the hour a new coronavirus case in California could be the first in the U.
